41 hours, trapped in an elevator, in new york, timelapse.

The New Yorker has footage of Nicholas White, a man who was trapped in an NYC elevator for 41 hours, a seemingly impossible amount of time to imagine not being discovered and rescued. Nearly 2 full days. Time lapsed.

I couldn't figure out how to embed, so please excuse the link.

This is a must see, insanely mind bending predicament. (Also for those of you wondering why he didn't go up through the hatch on the top... He tried, but they are typically bolted down for "safety" reasons, apparently you aren't suppose to rescue yourself anymore. More weird elevator facts at: The Up and Down [New Yorker]. Apparently a B25 Bomber hit the Empire State in '45.)
